Water runoff is a major source of ocean pollution. The Ocean Friendly Gardens (OFG) Program is a volunteer-run landscape education and hands-on training and advocacy program that applies “CPR”- Conservation, Permeability and Retention to landscapes, hard scapes and streets. The program promotes the use of native plants, permeable ground-covers and water retention features to prevent runoff, create wildlife habitats and design beautiful spaces.
