ALL in the Water

The ALL (Aquatic Love and Learning) in the Water collaboration seeks to address the legacy of historical inequities that have prevented marginalized communities in our region from safely enjoying our beloved waterways. The growing community of organizations and individuals  on our team seek to strengthen participants’ connection to and appreciation of water.

Aquatic Love & Learning

The ALL (Aquatic Love and Learning) in the Water collaboration seeks to address the legacy of historical inequities that have prevented marginalized communities in our region from safely enjoying our beloved waterways. The growing community of organizations and individuals  on our team seek to strengthen participants’ connection to and appreciation of water.

How do we do this? Now entering our fifth year we’ve facilitated free swim lessons and American Red Cross lifeguard certification, surf instruction, kayak eco-education expeditions, and opportunities for participants to learn about ocean-related career pathways. Do you have an idea, skills, or energy to bring to this growing community? Please consider joining us!

“The kids learn to fight through adversity, and get through their challenges and learn how to use teamwork to get out of tough situations and it’s just been so fun throughout. I think they learned how life actually works— in order to get through tough situations you have to fight through and keep a calm head.” - Demarcus McClaurin, ALL in the Water alumni now at Voyage of Wilmington.
